Jocky had been looking forward to the night all day since her day was pretty much made out of walking Edger, basketball, and lazing about. Weekends were never fun when her brothers weren't around to drive her anywhere.
Now that the sun has gone, Tric has opened...finally. She didn't even wait for her mother to come home, but she left her a not instead to tell her that she had gone to Tric. With her favorite light blue T-shirt and her pocket money in hand, Jocky set off for Tric.
As usual, the place was packed, but she was determined to find a familiar face somewhere.

Aiden grinned as he stood over the booming stereo. It had been awhile since he had laid back and let everything flow just as it should have been. The people where crammed yet they seemed to have fun.
He saw old and new faces alike. And then he saw Jocky, that face was too familiar, he pushed himself off the wall and approached Jocky. Aiden lightly tapped her shoulder and greeted her a loud 'hi' over the music

Jocky spun,, finding herself facing Aiden. "Oh hey," she replied with a rather bright smile. She looked at the stage where a band was performing then back at Aiden. "You having fun?" she asked, voice a bit louder because the crowd was too loud.

"More or less," Aiden answered in a shout over the music. People were enjoying the music and aslo the company and it didn't bother him one bit. "And you?" he shouted again over at Jocky with his grin of amusement of why it always had to be like this

Jocky grinned. "Never been better. We've met before, right? I'm sorry, I've missed your name." Jocky grew red. "A lot of people moved this year and it was hard to keep up with all the names and faces. I'm really sorry!"
Of course Jocky didn't mean to forget, but her memory was far from an elephant's.

"Nice," Aiden said sarcastically, "I'm your mother" he jokingly shouted back with a smile. "And yeah we've met in a cave, hiding for our dear lives," he said sarcastically again, "Joking, Aiden, remember it, eat it and breath it," Aiden joked once again.

Jocky smirked. "You wish," she replied. She turned back to the band. "I love this song," she said as they were singing God Bless the Broken Road by Rascall Flatts.
She then turned again to Aiden. "Wanna grab a drink?" she asked, feeling herself the friendly Tree Hill welcome wagon type again.

Aiden nodded his head, "I think the stereo had swallowed all the water in me, and i think it damaged my ear drums," he shouted once again as he gestured to the table to where everything was placed. "Forgetful ladies first," he joked

Jocky, who wasn't much in the mood for a dilly-dally, grabbed Aiden's hand. "Oh come on!" she said as she led him to the bar. She smiled at the bartista, a man who had known her since the day she went off to preschool.
"The works!" said Jocky, who was referring to her favorite. It was merely a rootbeer float..since they weren't allowed to drink yet and having a fake ID wouldn't do at this point.

Aide grinned at the barista, who also knew him but not so well, "Not for me tonight," he shook his hand and waved his hand at the same time as he sat next to Jocky who was enjoying her drink.
"How have you been doing Jock?" he asked

"Bored," Jocky replied honestly. "Terribly bored, I guess. James hasn't been home for a long time and I miss him already, I do miss my other brothers too."
The bartista served the rootbeer.
"Thanks," said Jocky as she took a sip. "How about you? How're you doing?"

"I'm doing good... but still bored like you," Aiden grinned as he leaned against the counter with his elbow, "though i see a few new faces, and i know that they're attenting in our school, so how many have you met so far?" he asked with another grin. Knowing that Jocky had probably met a fair bunch,

"Can't tell with so many," said Jocky. "Haven't even memorized all their names, I tell you. It's not so fun to be walking up to a person and asking their name again," she said. "Like I did to you."
It was indeed embarrassing, but heck. There is nothing she could do about something thats happened.

"I think they'll understand," Aiden flashed a smile, "you're forgetful by nature," he said as he darted his eyes from face to face. "Maybe we should wear name tags around you," he joked lightly as he flashed his eyes back at her, "wait, hold on" Aiden quickly dug his hand to his pocket and pulled out a small ripped out paper and a ballpen too. He scribbled on the counter soundlessly and raised it up to her. On the paper was his name scribbled in his messy handwriting, "see? you may need one to if you don't remember your own name," he joked again and laughed.

"Quite the jokester, aren't you?" said Jocky, pushing Aiden's paper back towards him. "I'm not that forgetful. I just don't tend to remember," she explained, which was still the same no matter in what kind of way you look at it.
Jocky knew it, but she didn't want to admit she was indeed forgetful
