With Edger by her side, Jocky walked to River Court with her gym back. She and her brothers used to play around here when they were younger, although the older boys would try to drive them away even when they got their first. This was probably one of the reasons why Jocky was so eager to beat the crap out of those bullies. But when she grew up, they had already gone on with their lives.
And now, Jocky was glad to have the court to herself, sometimes she plays along with the other people who come about when she has the chance. This morning, there was no one but her, her gym bag, her dog and the ball.
Jocky dribbled her ball before giving it a shot from the free throw line.
SWOOSH
She still hasn't lost her touch, and Jocky smiled.

A faint clapping could be heard in the distance. Reese stood at the opposite side of the court, leaning against the pole that held the net. "Nice shot Jockey," he grinned.

Jocky spun around. She smiled upon seeing Reese. Finally, a face she knew. She had been meeting new people lately and it was just different if you met a familiar face again.
"Hey there, Reese!" she said, waving. "Wanna play ball?"
Reese was an old friend of hers, having grown up in the same town, and she considered him one of her best friends too.

"Do I ever say no to a game of ball?" Reese asked, "or any sport for that.." He pulled off his zip-up hooded sweater, revealing a white wife-beater, and held his hands up to catch the ball. He began walking onto the court, "Hey, have you noticed the abundance of new people lately?".

Jocky nodded as she threw the ball to Reese. "Yeah, I just met a bunch of 'em yesterday." She bent her knees and looked at Reese. "I don't think it's a bad thing, but there is always some of those peole who doesn't like the look of Tree Hill." She smirked. "I guess they've stayed in the city for too long a time!"

"Yeah, it's harder for city people to adapt I think. They tend to think highly of themselves because they're from the city too," reese answered as he began to dribble the ball. He dodged Jockey's block, only to be countered with another from her.

"Can't get past me, Reese," said Jocky with a smile. "Although, i have to admit that you've gotten better." She looked at the young man from head to toe. "And a lot taller," she added.
It was then when she let her guard down, low enough to have an open shot for Reese.

"Planning on trying out for the team," Reese gladly took the shot, and sunk the ball. "Oh look at that. Perfect. Your ball," he grinned grabbing the ball and passing it to her. "this time, don't let my body distract you," he chuckled.

Jocky snorted. "With that body?" she said, a ball in her right hand and pointing to Reese's torso with the other. "Not even close Reese Vearo! Not even close!"
being taught by her older brother to shoot, Jocky jumped from the free throw line and watched as the ball sialed through the air.
SWOOSH
She smirked at Reese. "That's one for me too. Your ball."

Reese just chuckled at his friend. "Right, I see the way you checked me out there. You want a piece," he joked with her. He grabbed the ball, passing it through his legs as he walked. "I think I should go easy on you. After all, you are a girl," He knew that Jockeys reaction would cause her to play harder, and an intense game would erupt.

"thingyy ain't you, Vaero?" said Jocky, grabbing the ball and breathing heavily. She had been at it all morning, but oh, she was never going to let Reese win.
"Trey getting past me then," said Jocky as she bent her knnes and smirked at the guy. "Come on, now."

Reese grinned and reached around her small frame, getting the ball forced behind Jockey. He hit in through both their legs, and ran for it, once again getting the ball back, and in clear opening for the basket.
SWOOSH
"Sunk!" he called lifting his arms in the air. "Getting tired already girly?"

Jocky grabbed the ball. 'You wish, Reese," she said as she squared her shoulders and began dribbling the ball.
If there was one thing her brothers taught her, it was basketball. having three older brothers who loved the game and two of them who used to play for the Ravens, she was a bit good at it.
From the free throw line, she aimed and gave the ball a shot.
SWOOSH
"SCORE!" Jocky sxclaimed.

Reese grabbed the ball before it hit the court, "Nice one. You should pretend to be a guy and try out with me." His laughter echoed across the court. "I think you'd have a hard time hiding the fact that you're a girl though," he answreed honestly, making his way around the court, dodging her block. He threw the ball just after the free throw line, it sinking into the basket.

Jocky laughed. "Well, if only there were less Cheerleaders and more female player, we'd have a girl's basketball team," she said. It did hurt a bit when she found out while in Elementary that there was no girl's team because there weren't enough players to have one.
She watched as the ball sailed through the air. 'Nice shot there," she said, catching the ball from under the ring before it hit the ground.
