"You never will change your thingyy ways, will you, Reese?" said Jocky as she went to get the ball. "Hey, tell me when you're trying out, okay? I'm sure to be there to watch you. Oh...and, don't forget to bring in your lucky shoes socks or whatever. I'd like to be cheering on you when I get into the squad...if i do get into the squad," she added, the latter line a second thought.

"Lucky boxers actually," Reese laughed. "So you're going to try out? I think basket ball tryouts are just after the first week back. Cheerleader tryouts are at the same time."

"Yeah," said Jocky slowly. "Pretty much thinking hard of it. Do you think I have a shot though?" she asked, knowing that Reese wasn't afraid to tell her the truth and not give her false hopes just like the others simply would.
Jocky looked a bit unsure.

"You're more flexible than most of those girls. You could actually probably teach them a thing or two... Honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if you were captain next year," Reese answered. "Try out, get the hot uniform, and show the school what you can do."

"Fine," said Jocky, finally giving in to what Reese was saying. "But would you be there when I tryout? It's gonna make me feel all weird with a stupid skirt on..."
Oh, she does call it stupid, but sometimes Jocky wanted to wear that skirt so people could be reminded that in one way or another, she was still a girl.

"Yes I will be there. Even though it will make me look perverted, i will be there," Reese laughed. "Unless basketball tryouts are at the same time... then it wont be bad. but I promise to make the team, and be at every game playing my heart out, and making sure you dont feel like a dork."

Jocky made one last shot. "You always know what to say, Reese," she said, looking and smiling at him. She finally grabbed her ball and went to get her gym bag. "I'm supposed to be at home for lunch, but did you want to grab a drink first?" she asked. Knowing Reese, he must be hungry by now.

"Yeah! Food would be awesome!" Reese grinned, walking to pick up his shirt. "Good game by the way. You'll be beating me in no time."

Jocky smiled as she swung her gym bag to her shoulder. "Didn't I already?" she asked, though the real result of the game was that Reese won. Jocky had a certain grin as she walked off of River Court.

"You only wish. That'll be in your dreams, along with me running on the beach towards you during sunset," Reese joked. He was glad he had a friend like Jockey. He could pull off thingyy jokes, and she'd never take them seriously. Her easy-going nature with him was one thing he liked about her. He picked up his shirt and threw it on while following Jockey off the court.
