Emily Rose, has a very messed up life, besides the fact that things have been past through her genes from her family. Growing up was harsh, she grew up in another town just on the border of North Carolina. Her father luckily never gained HCM from his father and remained a basketball player until the end of college where he played onto being a coach. So life was pretty normal until she left home, her mother died when she was 5. She hardly remembered her and looked to her Grandmother for comfort. Her father took it very seriously and started to get strict on her, when he started to figure out her dreams he persistently persued against them, when she left home which he was entirely against. So she moved in near-by to her Grand parents in Tree Hill, even though she has just started in Tree Hill High, she is having a more easier life.

The complete subject of her mother, she hardly remembers her mother and it seems to bring her down mentally, but she always gets back at the person in the end.
