New shoes...new shirt...new back pack...new notebook maybe? Jocky's brothers were out, and they took Edger with them. Her parents were, possibly at work or maybe out dating each other, only they would know for sure. Jocky, well..she was stuck alone, as always, wandering about the mall and praying hard that she would bump into someone she knew.
At least that way, there was someone to talk to.

Sky was on the upper floor, the clutch purse hanging from her hand as she window shopped for new shoes. Even with the people she had met the other day, she still felt like an outsider. The former Florida gal, was dressed in a pale blue sundress, her feet clad in heeled sandals. Light, natural make-up enhanced her features and her long legs were toned and shapely.
maybe those She glanced at a pair of black high heeled shoes in the window with desire in her glance. One glance at the price tag however, dampened her enthusiasm. Stepping away from the shop window with disappointment, she walked back into the crowd.
As she headed towards the cookie parlour on the other side of the mall, she happened to look over the balcony and onto the floor below, catching sight of a familiar face as she weaved through the crowd. "Hey wait up!" She called over the balcony to Jocky as she raised a slender arm to wave to the girl from the poolside.

Jocky smiled upon seeing the girl. She recognized her from the one she had met previously. With a little wave, she walked over to her.
"Hi," she said, relieved that she had finally found someone she knew. "Skye, right?"

"Yeah and you're Jocky?" Skye asked with slight trepidation, hoping that she hadn't gotten the girl's name wrong. She straightened up and looked at the other girl before plunging ahead.
"Need any company? It's no fun shopping alone!"

Jocky smiled. "It's just what I have been waiting for!" she exclaimed. She nudged her head towards the department store. "What do you want to check out first?"

"Shoes!" Skye said with a definite note to her voice. "I need lots of shoes and then chocolate of some description!" She glanced about the mall and pushed a couple of strands of hair from her face.
"What are you looking for?"

"Almost the same," replied Jocky. "I was around to look for new school things to wear since I've been wearing mine since Junior High." She smiled. "Come on then, let's go check those shoes out first!"
