Miguel smiled at her and waved his hand. "Gaining a friend is good enough!" he said.
He usually never says those words. Technically, he didn't mean them too. But she'd never know about that anyway. "I'll pay for it!" he insisted.

At that moment there was a knock on the door, "Already? that was quick." Kimberly went to open the door and greet the delivery driver, "Hey, you guys are quick."

Miguel ran to the door. "How much is it?" he asked, eager to pay first before Kimberly beat him to it.
"15 bucks," replied the delivery man as he held out the pizza.
Miguel thrust out his money. "Thanks, here ya go," he said.

Kimberly just stood there, mouth wide open in shock. "I didnt even get a chance to attempt it," she said. "Well thank you, and thanks for the pizza," she stopped to look at the tag, "...Tom." with that she closed the door. "I love pizza!"

Miguel grinned. "Yeah, thanks Tom!" he said and waved at the man before closing the door at him and turning to Kimberly with quite a smile.

"Whats the grin for?" she asked a strange look on her face. "Alright, lets go find something to sit on," she laughed. "Glasses could be cool too."

"Yeah!" Kimberly put the box and pop down onto another box and disappeared into the kitchen. Moments later she was back with two glasses and sat of the floor. she handed one to Miguel and instead of filling her glass, took a piece of pizza. "So give me your honest opinion of what you think of tree Hill."

"Cool place," answered Miguel. "Not bad if you ask me...great school. Great athletics too. I didn't like it at first to be honest. Sounded like crap to me when I found out we had to move. But that doesn't matter now that we've settled down."

"Sure, just tell me when and how to get there. I dont have a whole lot to do before school starts," Kimberly grinned. "I'd like to check out the beach soon though."

Miguel smiled at her quite widely. "Let's check it out together sometime, eh?" he said as he grabbed a glass and took a sip of his soda. "So...what do you think life is gonna be like when you're here?" he asked.
It was something that he was asked when he was new and he thought it best if he asked her that too.

"Really different. I've never been to a school like this, or really lived in a place like this. I've always been a visitor to areas with actual beaches and stuff. I just hope the people here like me, because I could use some friends," Kimberly answered taking a sip of her soda. "I'm going to be optimistic though. Maybe there will be a club or two for me to join."
