Questions don't matter as long as you're hot, babe. were the word running through Miguel's mind.
"My dad's job," he replied. "He got transferred all the way here and so we had to follow him wherever he goes...apparently." He turned to head back down. "How about you?"

"Dads job, and he wanted me to get some real life experience. I've only ever attended private schools. This is the first time I'll be attending a co-ed school in my life," Kimberly replied looking back at him. "Apparently this apartment thing was his idea... Trying to give me a bit of independence at the same time but on his dime."

Miguel looked at her. "Well, if it were my choice, I'd get one of these too," he said, remembering how his mother had ordered him around all morning earlier.
"I'll go get the rest of the boxes," he said as he headed back down again to help Kimberly.

Kimberly grinned, picking up another box, "Have you ever just thought of moving out on your own, without help? It would be hard, but by the sounbd of your voice, it may be worth it."

Miguel chuckled. "Well, there's a spanish saying that goes...todo para familia...everything for the family. even if it means sticking with them even while in college." He had the certain strange twinkle in his eye.

"Everything for the family... I like it," Kimberly smiled as she picked up another box. "So is your mom with you too, or do you have any siblings?"

Miguel smiled as he picked up another to help out Kimberly. "Mom's with me," he replied. "And I've got a pesky younger sister who never stops with questions."
He quickly set down the last of the boxes to Kimberly's floor. "That's all of them," he said.

"After unpacking? Not a whole lot. Get lost in town possibly," Kimberly answered before looking through the phonebook for the number to the pizza place. "What kind of pizza do you like, and how hungry are you?"

"Alright, will do," Kimberly grinned. She had found the number and quickly dialed. "Hey, can I please get the biggest meat lovers pizza you have, as well as a two liter of Diet Coke, and..." she turned her mouth away from the phone. "Want anything else Miguel?"

"Nah," Miguel said quickly, trying to quickly imagine the money fading away from his wallet. There was no doubt that it was expected that it was he who had to pay the bill.

"And thats it I guess..." Kimberly finished with the pizza person. She hung up the phone and grinned at him, "You know, I'm glad you helped me today. I would have taken quite a while to get all that stuff up here. Oh by the way, pizza'll be here in a few." she went to the door and on a box was her purse. Searching through her wallet she pulled out the correct amount plus tip. "Least I can do is feed you, right?"

Miguel walked up to her and placed his hand on hers. "Hey, it's my treat. It's a friendly welcome to Tree Hill," he said as he used his other hand to dig up his wallet from his pocket.
